Loving Others Through the Gospel

 

1.  Who should  evangelize?

             Mathew 28:18-20;  Acts 8:1; Acts 11:19-21; 1 Peter 3:15;  John 13:34, 35 

 

2.  How should we evangelize?

 

  1. Tell people honestly.  Mark 8:34; John 3:36

 

  1. Tell people with urgency.  2 Co 6:2;  James 4

 

  1. Tell people it is all worth it.

 

  1. Use the Bible. 

 

  1. Realize the centrality of the church as a part of our evangelism.  John 13:34-35

 

  1. Pray.   Colossian 4

 

3.  What is evangelism?

 

1.  Some see Evangelism as an imposition.  1 Co 3

 

 

2.  Personal testimony is not evangelism. 

 

 

3.  Some mistake social involvement for evangelism. 

 

 

4.  Some mistake apologetics for evangelism. 

 

 

5.  Evangelism must not be confused with the fruit of evangelism. 

 

 

4.  Why should we evangelize?

           

  1. Desire to be obedient to the great commission.  1 Co 9

 

  1. Out of love for the lost.  (Romans 10).  (Matthew 9).  (John 3). 

 

  1. Ultimately, and primarily from a love for God.  1 Peter 2:12
